McLaren 650S

The McLaren 650S is a sports car designed and built by McLaren Automotive, powered by a 3.8- litre mid-mounted V8 engine. Launched in March 2014, the 650 S Coupe is the successor model to the McLaren MP4-12C, which was built and sold by the prestige brand between 2011 and 2014. The 650S is offered as a two-door coupé as well as a 650S Spider.

It uses the same CFRP (carbon fibre reinforced polymer) chassis as the 12C and has the same 3.8-litre V8 biturbo mid-engine (manufacturer’s designation M838T), which has been boosted to 478 kW (650 hp). Possibly the most striking visual feature of the car are its ingenious ‘scissor’ doors, which open to almost ninety degrees, while at the same time also swinging upwards. This means that they require slightly less space to open on either side than conventional doors. Amian Collection Cars currently has one McLaren 650S Coupé on its books.

The vehicle has had two previous owners and has undergone a recent (July 2022) McLaren check-up and inspection carried out to manufacturer’s specification.
