Adivo sponsors a marathon relay team of mothers raising money to fight mitochondrial disease

On the 31st of October a group of expat women ran the Bahrain marathon relay 2014 sponsored by Adivo Consulting. They ran to raise money in aid of a little girl called Jessica Newell who at 6 months old was diagnosed with mitochondrial disease. Sadly this is an incurable disease and Jessica will die in infanthood. The Lily Foundation is a non-profit charity that serves to fund research into finding a cure and/or treatments for mitochondrial disease as there are currently neither available, raising awareness of the disease and supporting families whose family members are sadly diagnosed. The Bahrain marathon mothers, with the help of Adivo, have managed to raise over $3000 up to now towards the charity.

Adivo has been engaged to provide a Program Management Office (PMO) to oversee the project management activities associated with the construction, fit out and installation of the first of three major museums forming the core of the Cultural District being constructed on Saadiyat Island in Abu Dhabi. The iconic $1bn Jean Nouvel designed building is the first universal museum to be located outside the Western world. It features a unique design including a 700 tonne, 180 metre diameter dome covering the main galleries which appears to float above visitors providing the dappled lighting effect of being in a palm tree grove.

In October 2008, Adivo was engaged by a brand new University being built in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, to King Abdullah's specification, to implement a Program Management Office to manage the human logistics of moving thousands of staff, students and dependents from locations all around the world to a new post-graduate university on the shores of the Red Sea. With extremely tight timescales and complex logistics of the movement of people not only to KSA but between supporting locations, the Adivo-resourced PMO developed all of the relocation processes and then managed each relocation as an independent project with a team of PMO professionals making sure that each move of home or office when smoothly.

In October 2010, following the successful opening of the University the previous year, Adivo's role has been extended for a further year to set up a comprehensive visitor management process and system and then hand over this and the relocation human logistics operation for future client operation.

MRO inventory includes the spare parts, materials, chemicals and supplies which keep plants running, such as valves, seals and pipes. Adivo Consulting participated in The 9th SABIC Technical meeting held on 12th - 14th April 2010 at Jubail Industrial City.

SABIC Technical Meeting (STM) is the platform where SABIC's professionals and researchers gather every other year to exchange technical knowledge and get exposure to the latest innovations and technologies.

Adivo along with its partner SAVOYE Logistics of France, showcased their Warehousing Automation solution which was deployed at 150,000 square metre Finished Goods Warehousing Facility of a leading petrochemical company in the KSA. Known as Product Handling Logistics Management System (PHLMS), it supports Packing, Palletizing, Storing and Dispatching operations using a mix of bags, FICB and bulk conditioning. The system is fully automated and integrated with SAP, Plant Automation (DCS) and Weight Control systems.
